Random Depp moment of the week:
Home video of Johnny's 27th birthday (so 21 Jump Street era)
Sterling attempt to avoid the belly dancer his parents hired to dance for him at their family pool party in his honour. He's really embarrassed but acts up hilariously to the camera throughout, making all the kids giggle.

Help me!

What event can I plan for 80 people at a tenner a head (£1000 total)?! They're all gamers, but active, it needs to be something cool.
I put myself forward at work for our events committee and they are doing an Apprentice style competition process. I have till next Wednesday!! This is one of the various reasons why I have no time any more these days!

This Week's D.R.A.T* Film:

Platoon
Certificate: 15
Release date: 1986
Synopsis: One of the most classic war films of all time, Oliver Stone's award  winning feature focusses on the gradual mental disintegration of a young Vietnam recruit who is not only confronted by conflict on the field but among the men in his platoon as well.

This is the second Depp film to feature the song 'White Rabbit' by Jefferson Airplane, which, coincidentally, is all about Alice in Wonderland. As it happens I've been listening to it a lot this week :D.
Check it out here, somebody used the Disney cartoon to animate it.

One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you
Don't do anything at all

Go ask Alice
When she's ten feet tall

And if you go chasing rabbits
And you know you're going to fall
Tell them a hookah smoking caterpillar
Has given you the call

Call Alice
When she was just small

When the men on the chessboard
Get up and tell you where to go
And you've just had some kind of mushroom
And your mind is moving low

Go ask Alice
I think she'll know

When logic and proportion
Have fallen sloppy dead
And the White Knight is talking backwards
And the Red Queen's "off with her head!"

Remember what the dormouse said:
"Feed your head, feed your head, feed your head"

*DRAT stands for Depp Rollercoaster Archive Tour, where every week, if you have the time, or lack of social life, you too can join me in watching JD's film career in order. Excepting one or two films this is a surprisingly good way of watching a lot of decent films which you may not have come across before.
